CGA Graduate Symposium 2026
The 14th CGA Graduate Symposium took place on May 28, 2026, at the Max Planck Institute for Biology of Aging in Cologne and brought together researchers, students, and guests for an inspiring day dedicated to excellence in aging research.
During the symposium, twelve PhD students from the CGA Class of 2022 presented their research, showcasing the results of four years of dedicated work across diverse areas of the biology of aging. The event provided an excellent platform for the exchange of innovative ideas and highlighted the outstanding achievements of the program’s early-career scientists.
The scientific program was further enriched by keynote lectures from the invited external speakers Martin Fussenegger (ETH Zurich, Switzerland), Matt Kaeberlein (University of Washington, USA), and Katja Simon (University of Oxford, United Kingdom). Their internationally recognized expertise and perspectives offered valuable insights and stimulated engaging discussions throughout the day.
The symposium concluded with a graduation ceremony celebrating the accomplishments of the graduates, marking an important milestone in their academic careers and providing a fitting close to a successful and memorable event.
