Category: News

For the 7th time, the Cologne Graduate School of Ageing Research (CGA) celebrated the graduation of a the class of 2015 on October 30th 2018. During this “7th CGA graduate symposium”, the graduating students presented their projects and interesting data; their seductive working models brought around a lot of scientific discussions with the audience. All guests and symposium participants actively engaged in the discussions and provided useful feedback for the future endeavours of the students.

On this occasion 3 internationally renowned speakers in the fields of proteostasis, mitochondrial biology and epigenetics . Prof. Dr. Rachel Klevit (University of Washington, USA), Prof. Dr. José Manuel Cuezva (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Spain) and Dr. Daniel de Carvalho (University of Toronto, Canada) gave fascinating lectures about their current research projects. Thereby they brought many of the topics presented earlier by the graduating students into a larger context. Once again, we would like to stress how thankful we are for their contribution to this event.

Although the class of 2015 has now completed the 3-year curriculum of the CGA, this will always be their “home” and we wish them all the very best for their exciting careers.
